How a cut is made
Four steps. Nothing here is a “smart” redirect that rewrites the page. The short address is a name. The destination is a URL we already accepted. The dashboard is the book of clicks.
Name it
Leave the slug empty for seven random characters, or set ggc.site/sale. Reserved paths cannot be taken.
Print it
Put the short address on a poster, a menu QR, a mail footer. Change the destination later — the name stays.
Read it
Each hit stores time, device class, and a referrer group. Hits older than 90 days are pruned; the lifetime count remains.

Custom slug
The alphabet skips 0/O/1/I/l so a printed code is not misread. A taken name returns a clear error instead of a silent overwrite.

HTTP 302. Paused links answer 410 and keep the slug. Deleted links answer 404 and drop the record. No cloaking page in between.

Where the name is used
A short link is for a place where a long URL does not fit, or where you need the same name after the campaign page moves.
Campaigns and drops
One slug on the teaser, the outdoor, the SMS. When the landing page changes, the printed name does not. Pause it the morning after the drop — the code is not recycled.
QR and tables
A menu, a check-in, a seating card. Reprinting plastic is expensive. Updating the destination is not. Device split tells you how many phones actually opened it.
Partner and affiliate traffic
Give each partner a slug you can pause without touching their creative. The click log is how you see who still sends, and from which surface.

A stable ggc.site/docs on invoices and packaging. The help center can move hosts. The short address does not have to move with it.

Rules of the cut
Alphabet
Random slugs are 7 characters from an alphabet that skips 0, O, 1, I and l. Custom slugs may use letters, digits, _ and -, 2–32 characters. login, panel, api and the other reserved paths cannot be slugs.
Destination
Only http and https. Hosts cannot contain spaces or control characters. A URL over 2,048 characters is refused. We do not fetch the destination to “preview” it — that would leak the click to the target before you intend it.
Redirect
Active: 302 to the stored URL, no store cache. Paused: 410, slug held. Deleted: 404, record and counter gone. Changing the destination does not mint a new slug.
Clicks
Time, device class, referrer group. Raw hits older than 90 days are pruned. The lifetime number on the link is not reset by that prune. Stats in the panel are the stored window plus that lifetime total.
Accounts
Sign-up creates the account and asks you to verify the inbox. Public forms (sign-up, log in, abuse) go through Cloudflare Turnstile. Clicks are billed at $0.0005 USD per 1,000 — the lowest public rate we know.
Abuse
Anyone can file a report. We disable links that break the acceptable use policy. Phishing, malware, spam, and illegal content are not a “use case”. For child sexual abuse material we act first and notify the relevant authority.
Questions
Can I keep a slug after I pause it?
Yes. Pause returns 410 and leaves the name on your account. Delete is the act that frees nothing useful — the record is gone, and that slug may be minted again later.
Do you send the confirmation email?
After sign-up we ask you to open the confirmation in your inbox, then log in. Unverified accounts cannot open the dashboard.
Is there an API today?
The contract is documented on the API page. External keys return 401 until sign-up mail and keys ship. The dashboard uses the same rules as the forms.
Who are the affiliates?
GGC Route, GGC Metrics and GGC Compliance handle redirects, clicks, and abuse. Partners on the wall print the short address.
What if a partner’s slug is abused?
File it on Report abuse. We can pause the slug without deleting the partner’s name, then restore it when the destination is clean.
What do clicks cost?
